ACID stands for Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, Durability.
ACID properties ensure reliable processing of database transactions. For instance, Atomicity guarantees that all parts of a transaction are completed successfully, or none at all. If an e-commerce transaction fails during payment, the database will not be partially updated, preventing inconsistencies.
